After a trademark dispute, the EPC Prototyping Platform is now called "Fosstrak" (previously Accada). Fosstrak stands for "free and open source software for track and trace".

The fosstrak project continues to offer free and open source implementations of EPCglobal standards. This includes a certified open source EPCIS implementation, TDT library and a ALE compliant RFID middleware.
